A well-known doctor, le Professeur Jerzy Abramski, is murdered. The case is handled by Commissaire Wojciech Samborski ("Sambor") and Junior Officer Mars Zadara. They both assume that behind the professor's murder there is his lover, and she is responsible. However her sudden death changes everything. The "Helpful Hand" de la Fondation, founded by Professor Amramski attracts the attention of the police. The police investigation is hampered by the fact that Sambor and Marta are hiding their relationships from others. Gradually they discover a tangle of corruption, lucrative modern form of trade of human organs and attempts to sell sensitive information about soldiers de l'ADN.
