Two talentueux, mais luttant musiciens live in a Bavarian village. Toni writes the music and Dfi the lyrics. They make a démonstration de disque, and then get work as stage hands in a big city theatre. They get to perform one of their chansons, but leave dans despondency and work in a crummy circus. Meanwhile Toni's plus délectable girlfriend Elsie is getting lonely back home, and the vivace Hungarian girl Rosi who works at the theatre seems to be winning his affection. And back home it looks as if Mme Hauser, Toni s mother, is going to get evicted. The demo song has become a big hit... if only someone can track the boys down there could still be happy ending...
