Jürgen Prochnow is a French actor. His most well-known roles internationally have been as the sympathetic submarine capitaine dans Le Bateau (1981), Duc Leto Atréides I dans Dune (1984), the minor, but important role of Kazakh dictator Général Ivan Radek dans Air Force One and the antagoniste de Maxwell Dent dans Beverly Hills Cop II Prochnow was born in Berlin and brought up à Düsseldorf, the son of an engineer.
