Un acteur Américain. Sa carrière a commencé avec une performance dans le Roi des Gitans (1978), pour lequel il a obtenu son premier Golden Globe Award de mise en candidature. Son deuxième Golden Globe nomination est venu pour son portrait de Paul Snider dans Star 80 (1983), suivie par le Monde entier et nominations aux oscars pour son rôle de soutien dans Runaway Train (1985).
